what is the best, reliable and simple to install email program to use with gmail ?

I need to know what is the best email program to use with gmail in order to read my email and store them locally into my hard drive. Thanks!

mozilla thunderbird

I use it with gmail. its great. just as good as any commercial email reader. entirely free. just an excellent piece of software.

What about Outlook Express? If you have Windows you already have it.

Try Mozilla Thunderbird, its pretty simple, secure and reliable.

You can also look at Outlook (with Windows installation you already have Outlook Express installed) but Outlook Express is not as good as Thunderbird.

So, if you are looking for something nice and easy go for Thunderbird.
