Email Marketing Software

I need to know the software required to start text marketing, allowing businesses to contact their customer database via text through our system.

Sometimes my message gets entirely deleted, by some quirk of the software — and even CTRL + Z will not restore it. What can I do to get it back?

(And please, don’t tell me I should have made a backup copy. I **** johnny-come-lately’s. LOL)

Specifically, what information is provided & how is it sent? (text message, email, or other?) How is the data provided…xls, pdf?
Considering that Yahoo is trying to sell this as an add-on I am shocked that they don’t provide more information on the tool. Clearly someone with no marketing or sales experience is in charge of this.
