Such as, if I’m working in a word document, I’d like to know if a new email has come in without having to close-out or minimize my word doc. Is’nt there some-kind of bell or flashing light that can place an “Alert” signal on my task bar, or something like that?

The newer Yahoo mail program does have a email alert buzz sound as well as flash a small popup box on your screen. However, to my dismay, having installed that little alert has been extremely annoying….when you have fifty or more of those buz pops daily… ugh. IF you plan or receiving more than a few emails, don’t install it. Half a dozen daily emails, you probably will not be to annoyed. And take it from experience,,,,its nearly impossible to delete it after its installed. Why, I dont know. Have a dozen requests and I still cant get it out of my system. But thats just my experience. Asking for advice is wise. Shalom.
