need an email client/ software that can handle 1000s of standard emails, main changes will be addresses?
the content will be standard. These emails can be created and preset to be send at future dates. the main change will be adding and deleting email addresses from the list of recipients. the software should also be able to accommodate categories of email addresses. preferably not a web-based solution. options should be appreciated.
kindly note that not all emails sent are regarded as SPAM. I for one appreciate updates via email from the software providers for the software that i use. Also note that it is not spam if the recipient approves the sending of the email. Also note that I would still need an email client if I have just 100 recipients, so any suggestions will be appreciated.

If you are looking to get some form of email program so that you can SPAM, you will be hard pressed to get a whole lot of help. There are a lot of email programs, as well as email server programs out there. Some are free, some are not.
You need to be a lot smarter then just the average bear to start your own email server. You need a domain name as well as the ability to port it to your server. You can use a web presence provider like POW-Web or any other domain presence people and POP your email with them.
Just remember.. SPAM mail is not taken lightly anymore.
