Is there a computer software that allows me to produce an “electrical map” of all the wiring I’ve done?
I think it is neat to give homeowners a type of “map” of all the wiring. I thought that there might be a software in the market that would allow me to quickly create and print such map. Is that possible? Which software is that? If not, how do electricians “register” what they have done for future use?

I know of no software designed for that purpose, but Adobe Acrobat or AutoCAD could be used.
I know of no computer software that can do the electrical wire mapping as what you have in mind. However, I think Autodesk’s AutoCAD might be of some help if you know how to operate.
I have drawn 3D model of my house using the software with hot and cold water plumbing, electrical wiring and sewerage on different layer. Each layer is representaed by certain color of your choice which can be turned on or off depending on requirement.
Have a try.
Anyway, electricians have schematic drawings of electrical wiring stored inside the switchgear cabinets for future references.
They’re called Blue Print.
