An entry level job will probably pay anywhere from 50-80k OTE so yeah you can make money but is now the time to do it? Most software companies are laying off people left and right. The rain makers will always have a job, but now isn't the best time to be learning the ropes. I currently sell enterprise ERP for a fortune 500 company so I'm speaking from experience.
