I downloaded the Yahoo beta email software two days ago, & I haven’t been able to view my email ever since.
dicherkennel2004@yahoo.com is the email I can’t read anymore. How can I load the previous version of Yahoo email that actually works? When I try to look at my email, the entire page is covered with a light grey finish and it locks up. I have to exit that page. I don’t get to look at anything. I’ve tried browsing the Yahoo help pages, but I can’t find the help I need. The email that I have that actually works is dicher@netscape.com. I hope somebody can help me!

It’s probably for your web page is not loading properly. The cause is multi-dimentional. It may be because of slow internet connection, problem with the server of Mail with your ‘webmaster’, active java scriptings, applets not enabled, corrupted browser cache, windows firewall or any personal anti-virus firewall (being too tight to communicate),lack of adequate windows resources or physical memory RAM of your system (need at least 1GB for WIN XP and 2GB for vista),infected system, problem with the .dll files of your browser or invalid or deleted or corrupted resistry of your mail installation.
Make sure the color of your mail page’s text is not white or that of blank space of window, click ‘Refresh’ button, clear history, delete offline files from temporary internet folder, clean your browser’s cache, clear SSL slate, delete unnecessary cookies.
If it still can’t solve your problem with web-page then it may be a scripting error. To fix this:
1. Click on ‘Tools’-'Internet Options’.
2. Click the “Security” tab.
3. Click the Internet (globe) icon and click the “Custom Level” button.
4. Scroll way down until you see “Scripting.
5. Enable the following:
a) Active scripting
b) Allow paste operations via script
c) Scripting of Java applets are all enabled.
6. Click the “OK” button at the bottom of the window.
7. Enable HTML texts.
Restart Yahoo! Mail and you should start seeing text in your Yahoo!mail windows.
The problem can be from other party also but in that case it has to be temporary

***Now to go back to your Original Yahoo! Mail,
Yahoo! made it super-easy to switch back whenever you want. You can switch up to the new and back to the old as often as you want, here’s how to switch back.
To come back to the old Yahoo! Mail, under where it says “Welcome, yourname” at the top of your Yahoo! Mail page, there’s a “Switch Back” link. Click “Switch Back” to go back to the Yahoo! Mail version.
If you are trying to get to your Yahoo Beta Mail with any browser and getting a “Page Not Displayed” or similar message or errors, unfortunately there is not a simple solution.
A month ago or so I was experiencing similar problems. I tried every answer people had posted and nothing worked. I had cleared the cache and history, booted into SafeMode with networking to clear all temp files and still couldn’t fix the problem.
Because Yahoo Mail Beta is beta software (almost but not quite ready for prime time) they help very little with it. Beta software is basically in testing mode. I’m sure Yahoo is using Answers to guage how well the software is working. Many people post their issues here so they get a good bug report of the software. But, since it is Beta, they have no solutions. They will simply try to fix these bugs when Beta goes into production for everyone.
With all of that said, last month I finally had a chance to switch back to the original version and all is fine now. You cannot change back to the original w/o accessing beta first. I had to do it late at night when Beta was fully working for me at home to find the link to switch back. The link is there close to your user name AFTER you successfully login to your Beta account.
There is a site you can access to check your Beta mail if you keep getting Page Not Displayed or a blank screen. It is basically text only, but at least you can check your mail. Here is the link:
Oh yes, for all of the people posting that Yahoo phone number for support, it does cost $29.95 to speak to a live person.
