How do I convert my old Yahoo emails into text files?
I want to write a diary, and my old emails are a great source of what happened to me over the last couple years. I’d like to convert them to text, so I can assemble a Microsoft Word document, and then delete the old emails. I need a software program that would convert the emails into text, preceded by the date sent and to whom.
Every source I’ve checked has said Microsoft Outlook Express emails are the only emails that can be converted to Word documents because both are Microsoft products and work seamlessly together. Any other email program has to use a time consuming copy/paste format.
I’m not an expert and things might have changed. The website about.com has a lot of experts on many things. Heinz Tschabitscher is the expert on all things email and he even answers personal questions. Free
