Email Marketing Software

I am in the process of starting a small business and I am asking for suggestions on how to set up my customer data bank. I am planning on using Quick Books for bookkeeping purposes, if that is relavant info. Any (software) suggestions? I would also like to use this software for newsletters (web oriented = email adresses). I cant imagine that an Excel spread sheet will be a good long-term solution. Tips?

I am running a software company in singapore. I would like to get orders for software development and website, online related services. We have excellent team and infrastructure. How can i get orders from US and Europe market? Any ideas or connections? Please drop your answers and ideas. Thanks.

I am a fully credentialed special ed. teacher in mild/moderate disabilities in Southern California. I am currently pursuing my masters in Educational Therapy at one of the California State Universities.

Because of my daughter’s vast software collection and my own internet knowledge, I am very familiar with many educational software programs as well as educational freeware websites.

Can I use this knowledge as a part-time to full-time consultant/ corporate salesman? Let me add that I am also an experienced puppeteer who can build his own foam and cloth puppets for potential clients.

Can anyone out there share any information on marketing educational software?

I basically have a company in an industry that is crying for a particular type of software, and I found a company that is very poorly marketed yet has the product in need.

I want to make some sort of licensing agreement to market the software via our channels & website. What do I need to do?

I would then keep half of the collected money and pay the other half to the company due the refund. (some companies ship a lot of packages and would have to pay someone to track the late ones). is this market saturated? is this a viable way to make money?

I have a medium size law firm with a simple mail list on Excel.I would like to make a more detailed list of my clients that could then be broken down all sorts of items like bithdate , religion, children, who they work for, etc. I would like to keep it simple, for instance, fields that are already assigned or ones that can easily be created. Finally, something that could easily produce a quick mail list..Should I stick with excel? Access? Goldmine? Act? Something else???

for my brother’s business. He broke away from his old company and has been working for himself for about a year. He’s in sales (windows/doors). Things are picking up just by word of mouth….and he wants to hire me on to help him out with the paper work. He has boxes and boxes of papers, old clients…etc. First thing I am going to do is get these old clients into some kind of database system. And then we want to do some direct marketing. Someone suggested ACT! 2007. Anyone else agree? We have Macs. And can you give me idea (non-technical) of how this works, I have been staying home with my kids for 4 yrs, so go “slow”!
Can we even use this for the Mac??
Yeah yeah, I do understand both platforms. I chose Mac for personal use. I learned all my computer stuff on a Mac over 20 yrs ago. Then in the workforce, a good 15 years on PC. And my husband is actually the Tech Mgr for a high profile company, and knows PC very well. I agree PC is better for business, but we’d like to see what we can do right away with what we have. Thanks for the input.

Thanks. Just to clarify, we dont develop products but offer software development services for other companies, mostly small businesses. Any ideas on how we can market our services to target customers will be most helpful. Who should we contact? Who can we partner with? How can we get help on the sales front (on a commission basis). Are there existing forums or avenues for these? In short how can we get more clients and projects?
